I really did. ^_^ It's much shorter now (under an inch), of course. It's not like, a barber shop job, but it's fine, I think! (Assuming there aren't chunks in the back I'm not aware of...)

I went to vote at about 5pm, with my DS in hand, expecting hours of wait----- and wandered right in, got a ballot, voted, and wandered out.

On my way out I saw a sign in someone's yard for 'Yes on 8, Protect Marriage'. Even ignoring what the law is actually about, anything that is written as "ELIMINATES THE RIGHT" is like... no-brainer to me. Vote for that, why don't we set a prescedent to eliminate all kinds of rights?


Anyway, that's my brief voter commentary for the day. :3

Amounts of Pleather:
I unrolled all my pleather all over the floor, and measured it out. I have 3 kinds of pleather; I believe Caroline wants some, but I'll let her voice what she thinks is best.

1. $10. Lighter weight, shiny black pleather: 66" long, 56" wide (basically 2 yards square). It'll need some ironing. Original use: Sesshoumaru's black armor cover. http://www.cosplay.com/photo/892635/

2. $15-20. Middle weight, mid-shine black pleather: 2 pieces. Piece 1: 3 yds x 56" wide. Piece 2: 1 yd + some scrap edges x 56" wide. The larger piece is rolled like a big noodle, no major creases. Original use: Cloud AC drape and arm. http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1654554/ Also was used for Tifa skirt. Recommended use: Something like Kingdom hearts org coat.

3. $10. Middle weight, shiny DARK BLUE pleather: 56" x 56" wide (roughly 2 yards square). It'll need some ironing. Original use: Original design 'water' coat. Pictures upon request.

I hadnt had a dental cleaning in a few years. Due to insurance lack, or forgetting, and dental phobia stuff.

Anyway, I went today and it was AWFUL. Don't wait years. GO OFTEN, trust me, it's NOT good to wait.
My teeth, while clean, hurt a lot right now. There was much blood.

At least there weren't cavities. -.-

As I understand it, _shiya_wind's mom is losing a bunch of animals to the Animal Control because she has too many. They're trying to adopt them out to save them from being put to sleep.
Trevor posted this on his LJ and I looked into it and emailed the girl, to possibly go up and take a look at the kitties.

If this interests someone else who is also local, we could carpool to visit them. I don't know this girl or her family or anything about the animals, for reference, other than what's posted, but I think any cause to save animals is worth looking at.

My Cell phone is on it's very last little legs.
It's basically a poor relative on a respirator, just waiting for me to pull the plug. -.- It doesn't make calls, it doesn't get calls, it barely contains a charge, and is basically a list of phone numbers currently.
But it's been like more than 5 years since i GOT the little guy, so that's not too surprising.

Anyway I'm going to get a new one, looks like 80% likely Verizon. So I may have a new number pretty soon. :)

I'm moving soon, and on the subject of cosplay props and wigs and costumes themselves...
I could really part with a number of the things that I've made and collected.
Not because they're poor quality, but because I have too many, and it's rough to keep it all.


Like....

An Alphonse suit of armor (For someone around 6' tall).
A Yaten (Sailor Moon; Star Healer) wig.
Shredder.
Roy (Smash Brothers/Fire Emblem) Armor (adjustable)
Zabimaru (Renji's whip converting sword, extendable to 9 feet).

I mean, do I really need to hang onto Kenshin, Ferio (Magic Knights Rayearth), Shikamaru (Naruto), or an ENORMOUS SET OF OPENING BAT WINGS?

What about this wheelchair; will it have any life after Xavier (X-Men) is worn again? If it ever is?
Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of this stuff a great deal (Zabimarrrrrruuu!) But I just can't store the volume that I have in ittybitty apartments. So something has to get cut.
So not really about making money, but finding good homes for my favorite things. ;.;

Would anyone even have interest in any of this stuff? I don't know. :/

YAY so I got home from work.....
and I don't have any extremely pressing projects to work on (as for Costume con I'd come home and climb right back into working on my project for THAT), AND no overtime at work right now!!

A bunch of us were thinking of wearing the Pokemons to SoCal Spring gathering. ^^
And anybody is welcome, but I really think it's most fun if we're all different kinds. There's plenty for everyone to pick a different one! ^_^ I'll keep a running list here, if that makes it easy for everybody. :3
BUT!! Don't feel obligated. You come in costume, FUN! Ya don't, no biggie. It's cool either way, it's just FUNTIMES!
